Resources

The Leaf lamp by Herman Miller is made up of two joined aluminium leaves.

The minimalistic design based on the organic form of a leaf, contains only the bare essentials.

The production process is cradle-to-cradle certified. Herman Miller manufactures with the best techniques available and has introduced the Perfect Vision initiative. This is a strategy to achieve a wide range of corporate sustainability targets, including zero waste to landfills, zero hazardous waste generation, and a carbon neutral operational footprint by the year 2020.

Leaf uses 20 light-emitting diodes that consume only 8 to 9 watts of power, about 40% less than compact fluorescent lights.

The LED’s shed full light for a about 50,000 hours, about eight times longer than conventional light sources.

Leaf is made of 37% recycled materials and thanks to the aluminium used, it’s up to 95% recyclable at end of life.
