The glasses are made from reclaimed beer bottles. No new materials are used or made, so no new raw materials need to be mined.

Reclaiming the product without completely remelting it translates into a massive material and energy savings. The glass isn’t melted, the bottles are cleansed en reshaped. Only ¼ of the energy required to completely remelt old glass is used in this production process.

All machines used are optimized to produce these specific products.

By not completely remelting the glass, the emissions during production are kept minimal. The huge energy savings also help to avoid further emissions.

Glass is one of the materials most suitable for repeated recycling. Another advantage of glass is that a fully functional collection and sorting system is in place. The chance that glasses are in fact recycled at end of life is as a result extremely high.
