The modern yet whimsical
Alma is a stackable chair designed by Javier Mariscal for the Italian design
brand Magis and their Me Too collection. The moulded tree with perched birds on
the back is not just an aesthetic feature, but also for the sturdiness of the
child-sized comfortable chair. The product is nearly indestructible because of
its compounds, glass fibre reinforced with polypropylene. The Alma chair is
suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and is available in green, white,
orange or brown. A minimum order of 4 pieces is required (each box contains 4 chairs
in 1 colour).

super-tough objects that combine fun with fantasy and stimulate the senses of
childlike curiosity. Designed by artists thinking with the mind of a child,

It’s a single material construction, which means no disassembly at recycling. The material used is fully recyclable, i.e. polyethylene.
The chair is produced in one single production step: injection moulding. No assembly, sawing of processing. The energy and time needed to manufacture an object like this is thus dramatically reduced.
Alma is a sturdy and timeless design, which guarantees a long life span. It can be easily passed on to other children. The pattern on the back is not merely for decoration but also functions as back rest ribbing. Instead of the standard geometric patterns, the Alma Stacking Chair features a patterns of tree branches - with a few birds perched among them to add to the charming effect.
The material is easy to grind and can be re-used for other injection moulding products.
