Life cycle analysis (LCA)
In a life cycle analysis (LCA) the full environmental impact of a product or service is calculated. The different environmental effects are estimated depending on the objectives of the analysis. The following effects are usually incorporated:
- Greenhouse effect
- Acidification
- Ozone depletion
- Exhaustion of minerals
- Exhaustion of fossil fuels
- Toxicity
